Members of the Chestnut Knoll staff
and their families participated in the "Walk to End Alzheimer's," Saturday, October 1, at Kutztown University. Formerly called the Lehigh/Berks Memory Walk, the Chestnut Knoll team has been a leading fundraiser for the last seven years raising almost $100,000 in donations for the Alzheimer's Association, Delaware Valley Chapter. The team's goal is to achieve that mark in 2012. Many fundraising events that take place during the year include hoagie sales, Kauffman's Bar-B-Que Chicken sales, and the annual Beef 'n Beer at Chestnut Knoll
in April.
Jodie Daniels, director of Marketing, said they are so committed to this cause because they "see so intimately how Alzheimer's effects individuals and their families."
